Horseshoe & Cardinal Metal Art

They say that cardinals appear when loved ones are near! This beautiful iron artwork features a small cardinal on a hand-forged perch, sitting inside an authentic steel horseshoe. The sculpture can be easily displayed on a shelf or hung from the wall using the holes in the shoe. Each sculpture is crafted from a real horseshoe which has been cleaned and re-forged in our rural Niagara studio. Once forged, the pieces are welded together to create the final sculpture. The cardinal is painted with a metallic red paint before the whole artwork is sealed with a clear varnish, protecting against rust and adding a slight shine

Custom inscriptions in the metal of the shoe (up to 10 characters) are also available for a special personalized touch. (We may also be able to accommodate custom versions of this sculpture crafted from your own horse's shoe! If you would like to provide your own shoe please contact us or add a private note with your order. Shoes must be made from steel, cleaned of dirt, and delivered to the studio)

This artwork makes a wonderful gift and a lovely addition to any country home! Every sculpture will be slightly different depending on the individual details of the shoe and the way each unique piece is forged with the hammer and anvil.
