Penguin Family is an original Metal Drawing by artist Jen Lipski. This unique artwork was painted onto a sheet of steel like a watercolor, but made using layers of clear acid instead of paint. The acid is painted directly onto the metal with a brush, causing the steel to rapidly oxidize and darken in colour before being quickly washed away to control the effect. This process gives the artwork a unique rustic appearance that can't be matched with traditional painting techniques. The artwork is secured onto a rustic frame made of reclaimed wood. Due to the highly reflective nature of steel, the appearance of this artwork varies under different lighting conditions, a one-of-a-kind effect you can only get with the original artwork!
